'THE HISTORIC SATURN & NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION:
WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU'
THE FOURTH TURNING
A NEW ESTABLISHMENT ON THE HORIZON:
GENERATION X
GLOBAL ASTROLOGY
by Theodore White, mundane Astrolog.sci
It is not your fault, the good reader, as the world, here in the mid-2020s, has become more fast-paced and for many, too complex for many to keep up.
The fact is that the world, because of technology, has gotten smaller, but since the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-2021, many nations have not emerged much healthier from the many lockdowns and disruptions of those years.
There will also be cultural, geopolitical, social and even religious clashes that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and its adverse influences show will influence a series of geopolitical crisis that pit nation against nation. In my astrological mundane view: the year 2026 promises to be a very active year globally.
Meanwhile, the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) has added to the complexities human beings face as we enter the second half of the decade of the 2020s.
The good reader should know that the planet Saturn aligns with the planet Neptune roughly once every 36 years and as it was in 2025, there were multiple transits in the space of the solar year due both planets going retrograde and so repeating the conjunction aspect.
The Saturn-Neptune conjunction, in my perspective as a mundane astrologer, is a sinister planetary influence worldwide and affects many transpersonal matters, i.e., on large groups of people, on populations, etc.
That conjunction - a triple one - last took place in historic year of 1989, a major year of hue-and-cries, public disturbances, rebellions and revolutions amid my forecasting major changes for large groups of people, and nations.
The conjunction threatens ancient institutions; established governments and regimes with disruption, dysfunction and dissolution.
The conjunction signifies complications, losses and can feature an entire dissolution of ideology, regime, currency, credit and prestige.
In our present times, the conjunction has also opened up preludes to international conflicts and wars in what is emerging as a new era within an era here in the mid-to-late decade of the 2020s.
For those interested, other than myself, another forecaster who has been warning of these complexities to come has been mundane astrologer William Stickevers, who, like I have, has long been well aware of the new paradigms facing the world.
On the last day of February 2026, Stickevers wrote:
"Cosmic Echoes & Historic Shifts:
"Look up tonight - there's a stunning six-planet alignment visible in the evening sky: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune (binoculars needed for the fainter ones) Uranus, and Jupiter parading across the heavens.

It's a rare celestial spectacle, almost like the universe is putting on a show while major events unfold below.
Protests rage on (echoing the massive Dec 2025-Jan 2026 uprisings where thousands were reportedly killed in crackdowns.)
Basij patrols Tehran, Internet blackouts, and the regime scrambles.

I totally agree with Stickevers. As mundane astrologers, for many years, we have been closely monitoring planetary events as they correlate to global events and as we enter the mid-to-late 2020s events are panning out as we expected.
Total Lunar Eclipse Of March 2026
"For several nights the earth will tremble:
Corinth, Ephesus will swim in the two seas:

"Mars and Mercury, and the silver joined together,
Towards the south extreme drought:
Corinth, Ephesus then in perplexity."

On Tuesday, 3 March 2026, a Total Lunar Eclipse of the Moon will be seen over a greater part of the world.
It presages conflict and geophysical seismic activity of earthquakes during the spring months of the northern hemisphere as well as seismic activity in the southern hemisphere during their autumn months as well, Caution is strongly advised.
Populations across Australia, New Zealand, North America and eastern Asia will witness a 'Blood Moon' as the Virgo Moon will been seen in a dark orange/reddish rusty color for those with clear viewing skies.
It will feature the Moon turning a deep red due to Earth's shadow, similar to past total lunar eclipses, but its rarity adds to its importance.
Not all eclipses are malefic, or unfavorable, however, most are 'presages' that can bring trouble in charts cast for where the eclipse is seen and observed. The 'Blood Moon' eclipse of Tuesday-Wednesday 3-4 March 2026
The good reader should understand that the effect of any major conjunction like the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in tropical Aries that is now underway as you read this - is to create a new sensitive point in the world's consciousness that at any time within the span of its effective influence can become activated by a lunation, a plenilunium, or an eclipse that falls on that degree, or by a powerful major transit over or opposed to it.
The transits of the planetary bodies, especially through March, April, May, June, July and into August 2026 call for attention to geopolitical and geophysical events, i.e., storms, floods, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, that signify climatic changes ahead in 2026.
Meanwhile, the Blood Moon total lunar eclipse and full moon of 3 March 2026 also just happens to be the 'Purim' holiday.
Purim is usually marked with boisterous street parades and costume parties to celebrate the Jewish victory over an ancient Persian ruler.
Jewish men read the scroll of Esther on Monday, 2 March 2026 as they celebrate the holiday of Purim in an underground parking garage as a precaution against Iranian missile attacks.

This year, celebrations moved into fortified bomb shelters as Israel wages war against Iran’s modern-day leaders.
They dressed up as people having a bath, complete with bath robes, and their son, Amichai, as a rubber ducky, and created a bathtub play area for him next to their tent.
The effects in world affairs in either a solar or lunar eclipse are felt on Earth by means of intensified action. This is where a gravitational strain comes about, especially total eclipses of the Sun or Moon.
Therefore, according to the rules of Mundane Astrology, the increased tension will be felt at the lowest points of resistance.
Events as eclipses can remain latent for months and some main events even for a year of more, depending on the length of time the Sun was eclipsed. For the Moon, the effects can last multiple weeks and months.
Effects can also spring into action before, during and after eclipses as any transiting planets that reach the eclipse degree, by conjunction, square or opposition, sparks events as well.
Eclipses have been observed by mundane astrologers that have produced effects before they take place in nature since time is fourth dimensional as Einstein, Ouspensky and other scientists and metaphysicians have described.
Lord Bacon said of this that: "all celestial operations produce not their effects instantaneously and in a narrow compass, but exert them in large portions of space and time.
The duration of an eclipse is measured in the infallible rule of Applied Mundane Astrology by the number of hours and minutes when the Sun or Moon was eclipsed, that is, from start to finish.
Solar eclipses are measured by astrological reckonings to stand for years and months.
Lunar Eclipses signifies months and proportionate days.
The total lunar eclipse on March 3, 2026 spanned approximately 5 hours and 38 minutes from start to finish with the blood Moon fully eclipsed for 58 minutes.
According to this infallible rule and my calculations, the total lunar eclipse of March 2026 will have effect through March, April, May, June, July and into August 2026.
Therefore, I continue to urge caution, again, in extended travel and for people to mind their surroundings when in public at all times.
To prove the influence of such celestial phenomena, all one has to do is to witness the correlating events here on Earth taking place in this eclipse season that extends through February, March and April 2026:
On the night of the total lunar eclipse, the US State Department has asked American citizens in 14 countries to leave immediately:
"Depart now via commercial means due to serious safety risks."
"The @SecRubio @StateDept urges Americans to DEPART NOW from the countries below using available commercial transportation, due to serious safety risks.
Americans who need State Department assistance arranging to depart via commercial means, CALL US 24/7 at +1-202-501-4444 (from abroad) and +1-888-407-4747 (from the U.S. and Canada). ENROLL in http://step.state.gov to get the latest security updates from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate."

As the Total Lunar Eclipse of 3 March 2026 approached, and 48 hours into the start of the outbreak of hostilities and the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - what remains of the Iran leadership is in direct military conflict with Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Saudi Arabia and possibly Germany.
Deaths on all sides continued through Monday, 2 March 2026, from missile, rocket and deadly drone attacks throughout the Middle East - stretching from Israel, through Iran to Bahrain, Qatar and even as far as Cyprus.
Reports emerged that Iran has bombed U.S consulates and embassies in Pakistan, Lebanon, Baghdad, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
The war in Iran began on Saturday, 28 February 2026 with Israeli and American strikes against the regime and revolutionary guard of Iran.
According to reports, France, Germany and the United Kingdom issued a joint warning to Iran, stating they are prepared to act if their interests or those of their Gulf partners come under threat.
They also denounced Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks targeting U.S. military bases across the region, describing the developments as deeply concerning.

ATTACK ON IRAN
Geographic Location: Tehran, Iran
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
President Trump celebrated Khamenei's death in a post on Truth Social, calling him "one of the most evil people in History" and said his killing was "justice" for Americans and others killed by Iran over the decades.
He had not been seen publicly in days as tensions with the United States grew. It was then learned that Khamenei, in power as 'supreme leader' since 1989, had been killed. Less than 48 hours later, Khamenei's wife also died.
Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, 79, had been hospitalized after the joint air attack on Tehran that also claimed Khamenei’s life.
She had been receiving treatment since being seriously wounded in the assault, which marked a dramatic escalation in the ongoing conflict between Iran and US-Israeli forces.
Planetary transits are veery active during March and April 2026 and signify a need for caution - especially in crowds and extended travel. It is my advice to stay close to home and to avoid adverse contacts with unstable and dysfunctional individuals and groups.
The transits of March and April 2026 also see important changes in direction of the planets - by means of in declinations from south to north.
This indicates that new critical paths in life are about to begin and so it is wise to think before making decisions and choices. I urge patience and prudence in all choices made. Before you leap, think long and hard, and when in doubt - do not.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU'
In my astrological view, the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune is an ominous one. The conjunction is known to portend disasters and misfortune on a large scale that can have long-term consequences.
Again, as I have said before, the effect of any major conjunction is to create a new sensitive point in the world's consciousness that at any time within the span of its effective influence can become activated by a lunation, a plenilunium, or an eclipse that falls on that degree, or by a powerful major transit over or opposed to it.
Throughout history, Saturn and Neptune's conjunctions have coincided with major events on a national and geopolitical scale that have marked significant shifts in world history.
I reported on the events of the 1989 triple conjunction in Tropical Capricorn; and if one notes the previous conjunctions - each spanning 36 years - then you can note world events that took place during those Saturn-Neptune conjunctions of the solar years of 1952-53, 1917, 1882, 1846, 1809 and 1773.

In its 'fall' in tropical Aries, Saturn's two-year transit here will feature impulsive, and oft times, challenging and defiant impulses leading to accidents, civil conflicts, hue-and-cries as well as physical violence.
2026 will be a major year of history-making events that remind me of the 1980 song and warning 'Games Without Frontiers.'
The singer, Peter Gabriel, uses the metaphor of children's games to comment on the serious nature of international politics and warfare.
The lyrics reflect how nations engage in competitive and often absurd behaviors, paralleling the triviality of games with the grave consequences of political decisions.

I wrote this piece in January 2026 when the emerging Saturn-Neptune conjunction continued to apply pressure worldwide as the planet synod headed to perfection at the Aries Point on the ecliptic on February 20, 2026.
On Sunday, January 11th, American President Donald Trump was weighing a series of potential military options in Iran following deadly protests, while Tehran warned U.S. strikes would make regional U.S. and Israeli bases legitimate targets.
The demonstrations nationwide in Iran began on 28 December 2025 over soaring inflation and high levels of young adult unemployment rapidly spread to over 574 locations across Iran's 31 provinces, continued into a third week.
Internet monitors reported connectivity at about 1% of normal as the US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency said deaths rose to at least 538, while Iranian state TV aired funerals for security forces.
White House options focus on striking Tehran's security services, but officials warned strikes could backfire by rallying support or provoking retaliation, while Israel held security talks with U.S. officials.
Past clashes underscore escalation risk: Israel and Iran fought a 12-day war in June 2025, with the United States joining Israel in airstrikes, and Qalibaf warned against miscalculations.
The mounting unrest comes as Tehran’s piecemeal efforts to address an economic crisis have done little to appease Iranians.
The 2025–2026 Iranian protests began on 28 December 2025, primarily driven by economic issues and widespread discontent with the government, leading to demonstrations across 180 cities.
The protests have resulted in significant casualties, with reports of over 2,000+ deaths and thousands of arrests as the government intensifies its crackdown on dissent.
By 17 January 2026, the mass protests have led to threats emerging from all angles:
According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 3,090 people were reported killed in Iran, while nearly 4,000 more deaths are under review.
Here is the breakdown from what I have ascertained as of 18 January 2026:
Killed: 2,885 protesters, 165 security personnel, 21 civilians, and 19 children. Another 3,882+ reported deaths are still being verified.
Amazingly, multiple accounts are reporting that Iranian State TV has admitted that as many as 23,000+civilians have been murdered by the Iranian state.
According to Exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi:
"More than 12,000 Iranians were massacred in 48 hours. One murder every 14 seconds. Khamenei's killers even hunted the wounded protesters in hospitals and executed them in cold blood."
If the 12,000 figure is true, then: "What happened in Iran is the largest and most lethal state massacre in modern history of the world after the Second World War. Even the 1989 Tiananmen crackdown had fewer casualties than what ayatollahs did to the Iranian protestors." said Siamak Javadi.
Iran’s government said the nationwide internet blackout will remain in effect at least until the Iranian New Year on the 20th of March - this will be preceded by a total eclipse of the Moon on 3 March 2026.
The son of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is reportedly attempting to seek refuge in Dubai.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has revealed that Iranian leadership is moving their money out of Iran: "We are now seeing the rats fleeing the ship... We can see millions, tens of millions of dollars being wired out of the country, snuck out of the country by the Iranian leadership... They are abandoning ship, and we are seeing it come into banks and financial institutions all over the world."
"Analyst Shanaka Anslem Perera says Iran's IRGC Intelligence Org went public on Jan 9, admitting they're "dealing with possible acts of abandonment" in their ranks.
They suddenly deleted it hours later. In 45 years, that's a first. The move raised red flags on the regime's grip slipping and that some security forces might bail on killing protesters.
He argues regimes fall when troops stop firing, not just from economic crashes (like Venezuela survived hyperinflation but Romania flipped fast in '89). The prediction? 90 days til the regime collapses. Unit defections, the economy, unrest, and resentment towards Iran's regime, that's the recipe." - Mario Nawfal
"The streets are quieter now… but it’s not because people suddenly gave up. It’s because the regime rolled out the full playbook: internet blackouts, mass arrests, and enough security forces to make people think twice about even stepping outside. However, people are still angry, they’re just being forced into silence due to fear of violence." — Mario Nawfal
Message received from Iran: "Tell the world we have not given up. We cannot come to the streets because armed forces are at every corner. If they see more than two people together, they start shooting. People are too scared to even leave their homes.
Tell Trump we are trapped inside, waiting for them to be pushed back so we can return to the streets. We will not retreat, even if we are all killed. We have nothing left to lose."
Since protests began, the Iranian government has offered words of sympathy, fired the central bank’s chief, and announced plans to provide most people with a monthly payment of about 1 million Iranian tomans - again, equivalent to seven dollars.
Instead of spending $10 billion annually to subsidize imports, that money will instead go directly to 80 million Iranians in the form of credit to buy certain goods.
But the $7 monthly payments offer little relief to beleaguered consumers who are suffering from food inflation of 64%.
It was made worse by a 60% crash in the currency’s value since June 2025, when Iran and Israel fought a 12-day war that was capped by the U.S. bombing of Tehran’s nuclear facilities.
So, what began as a protest among merchants in Tehran’s bazaars has now spread to students as well as Iran’s working and middle classes all across the country.
The security forces that keep the regime in power have not escaped hardship either. While human rights groups estimate hundreds have died from the government’s crackdown, Iranians say it is not as severe as it could be.
“Security and law enforcement people are facing the same economic issues and high prices, themselves,” a protester in Tehran told the New York Times:
“They are not fighting back wholeheartedly.”
Meanwhile, President Trump has threatened Iran if the regime kills protesters and doubled down on that Friday, January 9th, when he said the U.S. would “start shooting” if authorities fired on demonstrators.
With the violence worsening, Trump is looking at ways to follow through. Reports said that administration officials have already started discussing options to attack Iran again.
On Sunday, January 11th, sources told the Wall Street Journal that Trump will be briefed on Tuesday with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Dan Caine also due to attend.
In addition to military strikes, other options include boosting antigovernment sources online, cyber attacks, and more economic sanctions, the report said.
'SITUATION WORSENING INSIDE IRAN'
The protests in Iran continued with online videos purported to show increased opposition - despite threats from the country's theocracy to crack down on demonstrators after shutting down the internet and cutting telephone lines off to the world.
An external rights group that relies on information from contacts inside Iran said on Saturday, January 10th, that at least 116 people have been killed in the protests, which began in Tehran in late December as anger over Iran's ailing economy, but quickly spread and morphed into the most significant challenge to the government in years.
The protesters appeared to be taking encouragement from repeated declarations of support by the Trump administration, and by the country's exiled crown prince, who called on them to try and overwhelm security forces and seize towns and cities.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused President Trump of having hands "stained with the blood of Iranians" in remarks aired Friday on Iranian state TV, as supporters gathered before him shouted "Death to America!"
Protesters are "ruining their own streets ... in order to please the president of the United States," the 86-year-old Khamenei said to the crowd at his compound in Tehran.
"Because he said that he would come to their aid. He should pay attention to the state of his own country instead."
Iran's Supreme Leader Khemenei faces new pressure after the US operation to remove Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. President Trump has warned, “You better not start shooting because we’ll start shooting too.”
Iranian state TV is reporting on security force casualties while portraying control over the nation, without discussing dead demonstrators, whom it increasingly refers to as "terrorists."
However, it also acknowledged protests went on into Sunday morning, January 11th, with demonstrations in Tehran and in the holy city of Mashhad to the northeast.
But, Khamenei has signaled a coming clampdown, despite U.S. warnings.
Tehran escalated its threats Saturday, Jan. 10th, with the Iran's attorney general, Mohammad Movahedi Azad, warning that anyone taking part in protests will be considered an "enemy of God," a death-penalty charge.
The statement carried by Iranian state television said even those who "helped rioters" would face the charges to the death:
"Prosecutors must carefully and without delay, by issuing indictments, prepare the grounds for the trial and decisive confrontation with those who, by betraying the nation and creating insecurity, seek foreign domination over the country," the statement read. "Proceedings must be conducted without leniency, compassion or indulgence."
'TRUMP RESPONDS'
He issued a message of support to protestors on Saturday afternoon, January 10th:
"Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP," he wrote on Truth Social.
A day earlier, Mr. Trump said that any possible American strike wouldn't "mean boots on the ground but that means hitting them very, very hard where it hurts."
"Iran's in big trouble," Trump said. "It looks to me that the people are taking over certain cities that nobody thought were really possible just a few weeks ago."
He added, "I tell the Iranian leaders you better not start shooting because we'll start shooting too."
In a brief social media post published in the very early hours of Saturday morning in Washington, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said "the United States supports the brave people of Iran."
Iranian regime warned protesters will be punished "without any legal leniency" as Iran's judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei separately vowed that punishment for protesters "will be decisive, maximum and without any legal leniency."
According to the Washington D.C.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency, which was founded by anti-regime activists, as of Saturday, January 10th - the 14th day of unrest in Iran, - that at least 116+ people had been killed, including at least 37 members of the security forces.
More than 2,600 people had been arrested, and protests were recorded in at least 185 cities.
The agency reported that they found that those who were killed died by live ammunition or pellet gunfire, predominantly from close range.
'IRAN SHUT DOWN THEIR INTERNET AS MURDERS SOAR'
Iranian authorities shut down the internet on Thursday night, 8 January 2026, as protests escalated sharply, seemingly as people heeded a call by the exiled crown prince, a vocal opposition figure, for Iranians to raise their voices against the regime.
Iranian state media has shown only pro-government demonstrations. But the few social media videos that have made it through the internet blockade tell a different story.
According to an update posted online Sunday morning, January 11th, local time by the monitoring organization NetBlocks, stated that the blackout "is now past the 60 hour mark as national connectivity levels continue to flatline around 1% of ordinary levels.
The censorship measure presents a direct threat to the safety and wellbeing of Iranians at a key moment for the country's future."
That communications blackout has made it incredibly difficult to gain a clear picture of the scale of the protests overall - and the Iranian authorities' response to it.
Some other reports put the death toll from unrest much higher, with TIME citing a doctor in Tehran as saying at least 217 people had been killed, for instance.
Staff at three Iranian hospitals told BBC News that their facilities were overwhelmed by the number of dead and injured patients.
BBC Persian verified that about 70 bodies were brought to Poursina Hospital in Rasht Friday night local time, but because the morgue was at full capacity, the bodies had to be taken away.
A hospital worker in Tehran told BBC News there were so many wounded patients brought in that staff did not have time to perform CPR.
Iranian authorities have acknowledged a few deaths, but usually only those of security forces.
A doctor and medic at two hospitals in Iran told CBS News partner BBC News that their facilities were overwhelmed with injuries.
The doctor said a Tehran eye hospital had gone into crisis mode, while the BBC also obtained a message from a medic in another hospital who said the facility did not have enough surgeons to handle the influx of patients.
The medic claimed many of the wounded had gunshot injuries to the head and eyes.
Asked by CBS News how seriously he believes Iran's autocratic rulers are taking the warnings from President Trump not to kill protesters, Maziar Bahari, editor of the IranWire news website, said he was certain it had "really scared many Iranian officials, and may have affected their actions in terms of how to confront the protestors."
"But at the same time ... it has inspired many protesters to come out, because they know that the leader of the world's main superpower is supporting their cause," said Bahari, who spent months in Iranian prisons after being arrested during a previous round of massive unrest in 2009.
"Many people have called what is happening in Iran right now a revolution," Bahari told CBS News' Haley Ott.
"And we can see different signs of revolution in Iran at the movement. But a revolution usually needs a leader for the revolution. But we don't have that leader."
But while decades of draconian control over the media and the deliberate sidelining of dissident voices in the country have deprived Iran of a clear opposition figurehead inside the country's borders, many in the vast Iranian diaspora hope the nation's ousted royal family could stage a comeback.
'ONLINE VIDEOS CONTRADICTED IRAN'S STATE MEDIA'
Saturday, January 10th, marked the start of the work week in Iran, but many schools and universities reportedly held online classes, Iranian state TV reported. Internal Iranian government websites are believed to be functioning.
State TV repeatedly played a driving, martial orchestral arrangement from the "Epic of Khorramshahr" by Iranian composer Majid Entezami, while showing pro-government demonstrations.
The song, aired repeatedly during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran last year, honors Iran's 1982 liberation of the city of Khorramshahr during the Iran-Iraq war.
It has been used in videos of protesting women cutting away their hair to protest the 2022 death of Mahsa Amini as well.
Meanwhile, state television reported that "peace prevailed in most cities of the country" overnight, with "no news of any gathering or chaos in Tehran and most provinces."
That was directly contradicted by an online video verified by the Associated Press that showed demonstrations in Tehran's Saadat Abad area.
Thousands gathered in the street, and one man could be heard chanting "Death to Khamenei!"
The semiofficial Fars news agency, believed to be close to Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard and one of the few media outlets able to publish to the outside world, released surveillance camera footage of what it said came from demonstrations in Isfahan.
In it, a protester appeared to fire a long gun, while others set fires and threw gasoline bombs at what appeared to be a government compound.
The Young Journalists' Club, associated with state TV, reported that protesters killed three members of the Guard's all-volunteer Basij force in the city of Gachsaran.
It also reported a security official was stabbed to death in Hamadan province, a police officer was killed in the port city of Bandar Abbas, and another in Gilan, as well as one person was slain in Mashhad.
State television also aired footage of a funeral service attended by hundreds in Qom, a Shiite seminary city just south of Tehran.
Iran's theocracy cut off the nation from the internet and international telephone calls on Thursday, though it allowed some state-owned and semiofficial media to publish.
Qatar's state-funded Al Jazeera news network reported live from Iran, but they appeared to be the only major foreign outlet able to work.
'EXILED ROYAL FAMILY HEAD PREDICTS HIS RETURN'
Iran's exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has been seen by many analysts as a galvanizing force behind the momentum of this round of protests.
On Saturday, January 10th, he called on Iranians not only to continue coming out into the streets, but to try to seize control of towns and cities from the authorities by overwhelming them.
"Our goal is no longer just to take to the streets. The goal is to prepare to seize and hold city centers," Pahlavi said in his latest video message posted on social media, calling for more demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday."
Striking an optimistic tone, Pahlavi declared that he was "preparing to return to my homeland," suggesting the day on which he would be able to do so was "very near."
But Pahlavi has lived in exile for nearly 50 years, and while he has long sought to position himself as a leader-in-waiting, it is far from clear how much real support he has inside the country.
His father, Iran's Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, was widely despised inside Iran when he fled into exile himself amid street protests in 1979, as the Islamic Revolution that brought the current regime to power took hold.
Demonstrators have shouted in support of the shah in some protests, but it isn't clear whether that is support for Pahlavi himself or a desire to return to a time before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
As the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at the first point of Tropical Aries takes place in mid-February 2026, it opens up a very interesting, if not murky and uneasy reconciliation on the fact that times are indeed changing - for these are the years of the signs of the times itself.
THE FOURTH TURNING - NEW ESTABLISHMENT ON THE HORIZON
Repairing the economy and world culture after the decline of western society under the Baby Boomer generation will fall to the incoming new establishment - Generation X - those born in the 1960s and 1970s who will lead the world in the second half of the 2020s, the 2030s and 2040s.
A book, called 'The Fourth Turning' is an amazingly prescient book that co-authors Neil Howe wrote with the late William Strauss in 1997.
Their work, which describes generational archetypes and the cyclical patterns created by these archetype has again become an eye-opener to anyone able to entertain the notion that history may repeat itself.
The third archetype is what we call a Prophet archetype which Howe & Strauss most tied to the Baby Boomer generation.
The Baby Boomer (1939-1953) generation grew up as children during a period (1950 & 1960s) of post-crisis affluence and came of age during a period of social and political upheaval in the 1960s and consciousness-raising decade of the 1970s.
The Boomer generation become rebellious, self-centered, moralistic and politically-obsessed as midlife workers, managers and leaders and later as parents in the 1980s and 1990s to the Millennial generation.
As the establishment since 1993 the Boomer establishment worldwide is ending in old age with the emergence of Saturn-Neptune entering Tropical Aries in February 2026.
For the children born at the very end of the decade of the 1950s, all through the 1960s and 1970s, are those Howe and Strauss called the 'Nomad' archetype.
Nomads are typically raised as children during Awakenings, the great cultural upheavals of our history.
Whereas the baby boomer was indulgently raised as children, the Nomad archetype of Generation X was under-protected and completely exposed as children during the 1970s and 1980s.
They learned early that they could not trust the baby boomers who had dropped out of society for much of the 1970s and rebelled against anything connected to the establishment of the 1960s and 1970s - even society itself.
Generation X learned to avoid the anti-cultural madness of the boomers along with their attachments to basic institutions to look out for their own best interests and came of age during the 1980s and 1990s as free agents whose watchword is individualism.
Howe & Strauss saw Generation X as great realists and pragmatists in history.
Generation X grew up as children during the cultural, social and political turmoil of the 1960s and 1970s and are now beginning to enter midlife.
Fiercely practical, visionary and fair, Howe & Strauss described Generation X as the ones that know how to get things done on the ground.
They are the stay-at-home dads and security moms trying to give their kids more of a childhood than they themselves had.
Their burden is that they tend not to trust large institutions and do not have a strong connection to public life.
Rather, due to avoiding the 'Me' mentality of the baby boomer generation that preceded them, Generation X forged their identity and value system by “going it alone."
By staying off the radar screen of governments; How & Strauss surmised that it will be very interesting to see the rest of the life story of Generation X - as they take over leadership positions and become the new establishment.
Generation X is made up of individuals born between 1961 and 1981, which means they are 44-64 years old in 2025.
This generational group has the second highest purchasing power following the Baby Boomer generation.
As group, Gen X is becoming even more influential, so it is important to have a marketing plan designed specifically to reach Gen-X consumers.
The writer Julia Sorensen muses that:
"Generation X is the only generation that seems to escape contempt. Millennials get dragged daily for avocado toast, debt, and therapy memes.
Gen Z gets roasted for TikTok dances, for speaking in acronyms no one over 25 understands, for allegedly killing irony and then reviving it in grotesque, twitchy new forms.
Baby Boomers are punching bags by default, condemned for hoarding wealth, destroying the climate, and still insisting on phoning instead of texting.
But Gen X?
The slackers, the latchkey kids, the ones who mainlined MTV like scripture? Somehow they get away clean. Nobody really hates them.
Nobody even really argues about them. They are allowed to be the overlooked middle child, except - strangely - people admire them for it.
Part of this is the camouflage they perfected early on. Gen X learned to roll their eyes before they learned to drive. They cultivated irony as a survival strategy, a way of refusing sincerity at the exact moment sincerity was demanded.
For Generation X, the Cold War was a normal state of affairs - decades old by the time they were born. The Berlin Wall was a potent symbol of the conflict and the “Iron Curtain” dividing the Soviet Union’s Eastern Bloc from Western Europe. So its fall was a landmark event not just for Germany, but for the world.
We’re talking about a Generation that’s been called lost, hopeless, beaten down, and forgotten.
But during the Saturn-Uranus-Neptune triple conjunction in Capricorn in1989, they witnessed a historic moment of hope - the fall of the Berlin Wall and collapse of the Warsaw Pact in Europe.
Amid the many televised tragedies that defined their lives, Generation X were given cause instead to cheer - and cheer they did. For all the ugliness in this world, here was the proof that it could also change for the better.
They could not afford optimism, but they also refused melodrama. The apocalypse was always around the corner, whether nuclear, environmental, or economic. So they shrugged.
They bought flannel shirts. They listened to bands that sang about nothing and everything. They treated adulthood like a scam, but they also accepted that they’d eventually get scammed into it anyway.
When you grow up like that, the culture doesn’t know how to punish you later.
The hatred of generations is usually rooted in excess. Boomers are accused of greed, Millennials of entitlement, Gen Z of exhibitionism.
Gen X, by contrast, made a virtue of absence. They weren’t too loud, too visible, too needy. They didn’t insist on being history’s protagonists.
They even resented being named 'Generation X' a placeholder that was supposed to suggest blankness, and then turned it into a badge of honor.
Their rebellion was not in the streets, but in the refusal to show up at all. You can’t hate what isn’t there.
This disappearing act is also what makes them mysterious. For those of us who came after, the mythology of Gen X lives in fragments: grainy VHS tapes of music videos, cult films nobody watched until they were reissued as Criterion editions, sarcastic sitcom characters who cared about nothing except their next coffee refill.
Gen X seems both defined and indefinable, like a band that never sold out only because they broke up before anyone noticed. They are remembered for not being remembered.
Which is a trick that no other generation has managed to pull off."
As we enter the mid-2020s and beyond with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, I offer the cure of being able to envision a wider, natural and more broadly based view of life.
Astro Phil, and astrologer from Kentucky put it best when it mused about how the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and its impacts and influences can be handled in patience, prudence and peace...
In terms of Saturn and Neptune and the way they work together, now is the time to seek grand vistas and views.
Visit with mountains if you can. The ocean is your friend as well, whether seen from the beach or the cliffs. Canyons work, too.
The common thread: go someplace where you can see a long way, where the Earth is covered in a majority of organically occurring matter - no flashing lights - and look, behold, breathe.
If this medicine is not so readily available to you, there’s good news. Within you are vast expanses that you can access through meditation. The uniting principle is seeing clearly.
If you can go inward and see clearly, that is just as remediated as venturing outward for the same goal. And depending on who you are/the make-up of your chart, one method may be more favorable for you than the other.
Perhaps the most challenging - but also the most essential - path is to reduce your exposure to screens and artificial light, and get in touch with your circadian rhythm. We are all human, and we all emerge from Earth - child of the Sun.
The closer you get to embodiment of this overarching truth, the better suited you will be to handle the uncertainty and spiritually unsettling energy of the Saturn Neptune conjunction."
